As MSI celebrates its 10 year anniversary this year it continues its ascent to the premier destination for athlete training in the Philadelphia region. Focused on empowering athletes to reach their pinnacle over the past seven months MSI has added top level facilities, personnel and programs advancing the training and exposure opportunities for the area’s amateur and professional athletes. This past July, the new MSI Sports Village opened which includes seven turf athletic fields. This new venue provides training and exposure opportunities never before seen in Southeastern PA. MSI recognized the need to enhance its services to accomplish its goal of athlete empowerment and this new complex will play a major role in the days, weeks and months ahead.

In addition, several new talented personnel have joined the MSI family to bolster an already talented coaching/training staff, including:

  • Kevin Schneider, the former Director of Bubba Baseball who has helped place hundreds of high school players in college
  • Maggie Kichler, a PSAC softball two-time Coaching Staff of the Year member at West Chester University
  • Todd Rizzo, a 15-year professional baseball player who has trained and coached baseball players throughout the region
  • Ryan Griffith, a former college soccer coach with 12 years of experience
  • Many others
In December, we launched the new Discovery Showcase Series across all sports. 52 of the nation’s top high school baseball prospects attended MSI’s Discovery Showcase Series MLK Pro Day under the watchful eye of 65 scouts from all 30 Major League Baseball teams. Some of baseball’s most talented amateur players were showcased including Jason Groome, Alex Krilloff, Brandon Martorano and Tyler Mondile. Representatives from Prep Baseball, Baseball America, ESPN, and the MLB Network were also in attendance.

In January, we hosted The Cole Hamels Foundation’s pitching clinic. The former Phillies ace was joined by a number of former pro players to conduct baseball exercises, training, mental conditioning, and more. This event further positioned MSI as the region’s destination for athletic performance. The past several months of change at MSI have left people asking, “What’s next?” As always, we remain focused on our goal of empowering athletes to “Earn the Elite.” The goal of MSI is to be a home for every athlete, and empower them to Earn their Elite. With the ability to run leagues, tournaments, rentals, camps, and clinics both indoors and out, in almost every sport, Maplezone Sports Institute provides an opportunity and experience that is almost impossible to find anywhere else. From a barn with one instructional tunnel, to three facilities, including over 60,000 square feet of indoor space, and a 35-acre outdoor complex, MSI has become a home for all athletes to train and showcase their skills at a complete year round sports facility. Thank you for your continued support and dedication. We’re thrilled to continue moving forward helping athletes achieve their goals!
