This week was a rollercoaster of a week personally for me…it went from an unexpected funeral to a long awaited wedding. It was a reminder to me that the MOST important thing any of have is family. End of story.
Family doesn’t need to be blood. To me, it’s simply the people you truly care about and vice versa. They can be labeled a friend, coworker, teammate, coach, parent, etc…it doesn’t matter how the relationship is formed. What matters is that it’s there.
So what am I trying to say?
Let’s take a step back and appreciate the people that we love.
If you’re lucky enough to have a group of teammates that you would go to war for, make sure they know it.
If you have a coach who genuinely cares about you, tell him thank you.
We get so caught up in winning, mechanics, and launch angles that we sometimes forget what is most important…the people around us! Don’t take them for granted.
Surround yourself with like-minded, quality people and watch your career take off. Be obsessed.
