During the winter, you can routinely find a group of athletes affectionately known as “The Crew” training and preparing for their seasons with MSI’s Rob Rabena. These guys have become a staple of the culture at MSI and its their work ethic and dedication that sets the bar for all other MSI athletes. Now, with their seasons underway, we provide an update on members of The Crew and see how they’re doing after an offseason training with The Legend, Rob Rabena.
Josh Ockimey (Twitter – @josh_ock) (Boston Red Sox)
Playing for Single A Greenville, “Ock” is off to a tremendous start at the dish, batting .305 with 9 HR, 29 RBI, while also working out 42 BB en route to a .445 OBP.
Tim Mayza (Twitter – @Mynameis_TmAyz) (Toronto Blue Jays)
Starting the season with High A Dunedin, Mayza has been nothing short of lights out, pitching 29.1 innings, with 36 K and 3 Saves, while producing a miniscule 1.53 ERA.
Harrison Bader (Twitter – @aybaybader) (St. Louis Cardinals)
A Cardinals’ Double A prospect, Bader has simply been destroying baseballs, to the tune of a .318 AVG, with 11 HR and 27 RBI in 50 games played thus far.
