Cat is a recent graduate of The University of Tampa where she earned her Master’s degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science. While attending graduate school, she worked two seasons with the Pittsburgh Pirates as a Sports Nutritionist. During Spring Training, she worked with all levels in the Pirates organization, and during the regular season she was the nutritionist for their High A affiliate, the Bradenton Marauders. With the Marauders, her main duties included menu planning, cooking pre and post-game meals for all home games, catering menus for road games, traveling with the team to road games, weight management, supplementation, regular check-ins, strategizing and coordinating with other members of the Athletic Development Team, and continued education. Prior to moving to Florida, Cat graduated from West Chester University where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. While at WCU, she was the WCU Athletics Sports Liaison for the Sports Nutrition Club. In this position she communicated directly with the WCU coaches to arrange team talks, body composition testing, research, fueling stations, calculating energy needs, providing athletes with nutrition planning, and counseling athletes. Cat was also a 3 year all conference award winner on the WCU softball team. During her time as a college athlete, Cat trained with Rob for three years at MSI and then became a sports performance intern under him. She is currently completing her Dietetic Internship at Virginia Tech and will be eligible to become a Dietitian in May of 2020.
